Here are some suggestions to consider:
Night Blooming Cereus or Nocturnal Cactus (Hylocereus undatus)—Broad leaves, succulent cactus. This cactus climbs on masonry walls or palm trunks. Spectacular, foot-wide blossoms open at night.
Night Blooming Jessamine (Cestrum nocturnum)—Shrub with arching, spreading branches. Small greenish-white to cream-colored flowers. Plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil.
Butterfly Ginger (Hedychium coronarium)—Perennial blooming in late summer to fall. Blooms in day and evening. Plant in semi-shady location (morning sun or dappled shade) and soil amended with lots of organic matter. Blooms make great cut flowers to fill your home with scent.
Gardenia (G. jasminoides)—Shrub that blooms in day and night. A dwarf form is available that is suitable to a large container. Gardenia, butterfly ginger and many other day bloomers will also bloom at night, and offer a nice fragrance as well.
