How much light and water is needed for a Wandering Jew?

There are several warm climate varieties of Tradescantia, known by the common name “Wandering Jew.” These are tropical plants and are among the easiest (least demanding) houseplants. Average home temperatures are fine but it is happy down to about 50F, light from full to part sun is acceptable and watering is needed when the top of the soil dries out. New plants can easily be started from tip cuttings during the spring or summer.
