What is NPK?

Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium(K) are the macronutrients in fertilizer. Nitrogen aids in plant growth and good plant color. Phosphorus encourages root growth and flowering. And Potassium (sometimes known as Potash) is instrumental in strengthening the stress tolerance in plants and encouraging vitality in fruits and vegetables. (Note: “K” is the chemical symbol for Potassium.)
